Thanksgiving Food Drive and St. Vincent de Paul Winter Coat Drive

In support of the Vaughan Food Bank, Father John Kelly will once again be participating in its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive to provide temporary emergency food assistance to individuals and families in need. From Wednesday, September 25 to Friday, October 4, we will be collecting non-perishable food items. A list of urgently needed food items include: Baby Food and Cereal; Canned Goods; Crackers; Cereal; Peanut Butter; Dry Food Mixes; Sauce; Pasta; Rice. From Monday, October 7 to Friday, October 11, Father John Kelly will be participating in the Saint Vincent de Paul Winter Coat Drive. For over 15 years, the St. Vincent de Paul Society has been organizing this initiative to help families in York Region who struggle to make ends meet. For many families, it is difficult to buy the clothing that is needed to stay warm when the freezing temperatures arrive. We are asking students, if possible, to bring in gently used winter coats that are no longer needed in your families. If you are able to donate, please ensure all coats are brought to the school no later than Friday, October 11 (coats will not be accepted after this date).
