Each year, the Catholic community of Ontario engages in a week-long celebration of the unique identity and distinctive contributions of Catholic education during Catholic Education Week. This year’s celebration is entitled, “Catholic Education: Pilgrims of Hope ” and will be celebrated next week, from Monday, May 5 to Friday, May 9. In celebration of Catholic Education week, Father John Kelly will be participating in a number of activities and events during the week.
Monday, May 5 – Rosary Apostolate Month of Mary Celebration (Primary Students at 9:00 a.m. / Junior & Intermediate at 10:30 a.m.)
Tuesday, May 6 – Literacy Day (Morning) and Walk for Annie (Afternoon)
Wednesday, May 7 – Board Wide Catholic Education Week Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Thursday, May 8 – Sara Westbrook Presentation (Grades 3/4 to 8 from 10:35 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. and FDK to Grade 2 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:50 p.m.) and Parent Engagement Night at 6:30 p.m. at Father John Kelly (St. Cecilia and Father John Kelly Communities)
Friday, May 9 – STEM Workshops (8:50 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. – Ms. Civichino; 10:25 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. – Ms. China; 12:45 p.m. to 2:05 p.m. – Mr. Sorgini)
